Cellular Selects Magnetek's
Mobile Wireless Communications Systems
DALLAS, April 1, 2003
- Digital power supplies and
systems manufacturer Magnetek,
Inc. (NYSE: MAG), entered into
an agreement with U.S. Cellular
(AMEX: USM), and has begun deploying
15 mobile communications systems
to enhance the company's wireless
network.
Magnetek's FlexSiteTM COLTs
(Cell Site On Light Trucks)
are fully-equipped with wireless
network equipment, DC power
systems and battery back-up
supplies, which enable U.S.
Cellular to provide continuous
service in areas affected by
wireless network coverage or
capacity issues. Under
the agreement, Magnetek is also
providing equipment integration
and professional support services.
